As this semester comes to an end, I’ve found that what I wanted out of this program when I first started has changed many times. I thought I could be an advertising photographer, a newborn portrait photographer, a teacher, photo retoucher and anything in between. When thinking of a career path, what is more important to me than income is the ability to be home for my son. While many jobs offer remote work from home, you still need to build experience and intern and other things that require you to be physically present at a job. while I am still very unsure of what path I will follow, and I often question if I even belong in this program, I am happy to be learning and growing as a person.
One way I try to come up with ideas for my future is by looking at different majors at 4 year schools. Right now I am very interested in the New Media major at Molloy College. While I really have no clue if I am even capable of succeeding in that program, it sounds like a great opportunity to take advantage of the technological advances that are impending. I will include a link to some info from them below in case you’re interested, too.
And, I'd just like to add an update of the photos for my final project.
